Doblin was founded in 1981 by the late Jay Doblin, a noted designer and professor at the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and by Larry Keeley, Doblin's current president and a frequently published innovation strategy expert. Doblin's staff is composed primarily of business strategists, cultural anthropologists, contextual (secondary) researchers, design planners and information designers.
